SAP Open in San Jose
Posted on Feb 19, 2008 by John Isner
I will try to keep all of my fans updated on my results as I play at the SAP Open in San Jose. It feels great to get back on the court after I have been sidelined for about a month because of a stress fracture in my left foot. I played my first round match last night and I defeated a very tough opponent Florent Serra. I won the match 7-6(5), 6-4. After winning the first set in a tough tiebreaker I knew I was in for a really close match. There were no breaks in the match until 3-3 in the second set in which I broke Serra. I was able to hold onto that break of serve and close out the match 6-4. I am satisfied in the way I played last night. Whenever I can go through a match and not get broken I am most likely to get a win. I will play my next match on thursday against the winner of the Tommy Haas/Robert Kedrick match. Talk to you soon!!
